Mad Max 3: Beyond Thunderdome
ABOUT THE MOVIE
Mad Max becomes a pawn in a decadent oasis city of Bartertown, built around a energy production facility. When he crosses its ruthless ruler Aunty Entity, he is exiled to the desert where he discovers a tribe of abandoned children who believe he is their prophesied savior.
This 1985 Australian post-apocalyptic action film is the third installment in the Mad Max franchise. Mel Gibson returns as Max Rockatansky, who finds himself caught between the tyranny of Bartertown and the primitive tribe awaiting a legendary captain who will lead them to salvation.
Directed by George Miller and George Ogilvie, the film features Tina Turner in her iconic role as Aunty Entity, along with a memorable score and the famous Thunderdome arena where disputes are settled in brutal combat with the rule: "Two men enter, one man leaves."
